so, just recently changed isp and got "fibre" and its soooo much faster than what i had i am really on the whole very pleased with it.

however........ the interleave depth being roported by the talktalk router seems stupidly high to me. its currently reporting "Downstream interleave depth: 2320"

so, is that actually real? if so why and how can i fix it

Did you have a problem before you looked at the line stats?

There isn't much you can do from your end except for ensuring that your wiring is as short and clean as possible.

If there's a line fault (noise for example) then report it. Otherwise give the DLM time to sort things out (and keep the router powered up and connected 100% of the time unless there's a good reason not to).

well aside form it being crazy high a value there seems to be nothing actually wrong. pings are a bit highish for a VDSL connection but at roughtly 24ms its not exactly actually causing a problem.

however the value is so big and i can se no particular reasen for it, error rates for the down stream are zero, absolutly zero so i cant see why the interleav depth is not just high but super duper high.
