right, after my bad experience with the Dell U2412M monitor (major back light bleed), I think i won't be touching them again :(

I'm currently looking for another monitor similar to the Dell U2412M ...
is there any such comparable to the Dell U2412M ??

and of course budget is around £200 - £250

the dell was definitely a great monitor, lovely picture quality, I would've kept it if it didn't have major back light bleed.
too bad i was the unlucky one =/

IQ?

could you explain please?

i was planning on getting the BenQ XL2411T
but was hesitant. :(

Image quality:)

Both of those are TN panels...

yes they are, well spotted :p
I should have mentioned I tried an Asus VS239 then the Dell U2412M then out of sheer frustration and wanting a new gaming monitor I ordered both the Asus VG248QE and BenQ XL2411T hoping to pick 1 but they are just aweful to look at.

In fairness im looking to replace my 12 year old Iiyama454 so the image quality on any of todays LCD screens is terrible in comparison. Been gaming at 1600x1200@100hz for the last decade or so and any of these flat panels is just a huge downgrade tbh. Really hoping these AMOLED screens are better!

ah, i see...

how was your experience with the Dell U2412M ??
i assume you still have it, does it have a lot of backlight bleed?

wow, you're one lucky guy to have 2 which are perfect...

maybe i should re-order again, hoping it could be different

Mine is fine as well on a black screen in a pitch black room. You were probably just unlucky. On the other hand, it was something which I had heard of being a problem with the U2412M, so maybe I was just lucky :p
