now the warmer weather has arrived, so have the insects.

My room seems to attract them a lot, due to being hot, partly because of my pc and because the light is on.

Anything i can do to stop / repel them etc etc.

sucks sitting in my room with the windows closed

I remember there being a company you could buy mosquito netting from in rolls so that you could cut it to size and tac it or velcro it to the window frame.

Can't remember for the life of me what they were called or what to search for in google so this post is ultimately no help at all :p I do apologise.

Wow, was just about to type "I havent had any insects in my room at all", then all of a sudden a really small fly thing hit me in the face :o

Noticed a few spiders in my room recently and of course the inevitable flies.

I hate wasps though - They always hang around your open window, specifically when you are trying to sleep, eventually they get in. Once they are in they can't get out for ages. When they eventually get out they try to come back in again. :o

I just bought some of that stuff from the bay, haven't got around to putting it up yet. I'll probably do it sometime in the week, don't know how I'm going to open/close my windows with it on, though...

Be thankful you aren't in Australia or some tropical country.

Our insects are pretty tame compared to nearly all other countries and the most you will get is an annoying buzzing sound and a simple mild sting or bite.

If it really seems like a problem - the best idea is some fine mesh (which will stop most getting in)

It actually came with velcro. I thought about cutting a small hole in it where the handle is (which, if small enough, shouldn't let too many flies in) to open/close the window, but just peeling it back sounds like a better idea. :)
