Hi all,
Got an Asus Rampage Forumla, a Q6600, 8GB of OCZ Ram (the matched set available from OCUK), Zalman 9700 LED
Using the mobo's 'CPU level up' auto settings I have played around with various frequencies and found the system to be largely stable, a few blue screens right after installation were driver related.
At 3Ghz core temp reports the hottest core (core 1) to be 54C after several hours of Prime 95. I think I might have used far too much MX2 thermal goop when I fitted the cooler.
Could anyone give me any tips for overclocking this combination (I have read the sticked guide at the top) and are the temperatures I have ok? Do you think there is headroom for more overclock? I really want to optimise my settings if I can
Ideally I would like 3.6Ghz to help in Crysis and World in Conflict. I should also probably add I'm using a single Saphire 4870.
Thanks
