Considering attending Insomnia 60 as a BYOC guest for the weekend, but got a couple of questions first for those on here that have attended before. I've been as a day visitor, but never for the weekend...

- What's it like going on your own? i.e. not as part of a gaming clan/group of friends. Is it easy to game with others and if so, what sort of games are most popular?

- If I do go, going to get a decent laptop for the occasion. Any suggestions around 1k? Overclockers doing any deals for the event?

Cheers,
Jeff

Yeah, it's fine going on your own, always loads of people to play/socialise with and lots going on.

Get yourself on the multiplay forums and stick a post up about it. You will find some nice people who will be willing to let you sit with them etc.

Think most popular game will still be CS:GO, but people play all kinds of things so don't worry.

Do the pub quiz and just have a blast :)

Can't comment on a laptop unfortunately.

I may be going, I should know in about a month. I went to i56 but with work as a recruitment thing, so If I do go, it'll be my first time doing it properly.

If there are a lot of OcUKers going it alone it'd be great to get a list up so we can get together and keep each other company. If there are enough maybe we can sort a pub quiz team and do the forum proud :o I hear it's basically the number one attraction nowadays :p

Bumping this up, as I will be going to i60. I've never actually done the whole LAN thing before, going to be interesting!

Surely there more OcUKers going ?

Bumping this as it's only 2 short days until the early access starts. I'm heading down early tomorrow morning to help set up the BYOC hall, got my stuff half packed now and wondering whether I'm even going to need half of it!

Any more OcUKers going?
