Inspiration can come from nowhere

I kinda like it, apart from the scratches/blobs which are predominantely visible in the blue portion.

Were you playing with curves to get this effect?
 
Interesting photo, better than you have given yourself credit for I think personally. The blobs are the only thing I wouldn't like to see, some would say character but I do think a nice clean surface would look better.
