inspiration: where do you get yours

Not really looking for a "go and do.." answer, but more of hoping to start a discussion, and maybe even get some ideas .

so, do people mostly carry their cameras everywhere they go, in the hope of spottign something that draws them.

Or do people just live lives as normal and if they spot somethign worthy of going back, they return with camera in hand.

or perhaps specifically go out on photgraph taking missions

or perhaps a combination of the above.


Personally, and please not I am very new to this hobby, I have been taking my camera around with me, not spotted anything yet though :(

I was very disapointed the other day, In the light - medium fog, I took a trip down to the local churchyard (after seeing that photograph on here of the lamppost and the building in the fog) I walked into the chirchyard, and it was totally clear of fog, everywhere else was covered
 
I tend to carry my camera about in the hope of catching something that I like!

However I have been out of a couple of trips with the intent to take pictures - A Firework display and also the other morning when it was pretty misty.

I do find it difficult though - Inspiration (mainly imagination) isn't something that comes easily to me!
 
I'm hoping to get some nice frosty shots while I'm off work. I always miss the opportunity to get decent (or indeed, any) shots due to time constraints with going to work/gym or getting ready to go to either. It's especially annoying as I've just been to my uncles and he's got stunning photos of a sunrise the other day that I couldn't take any shots of as I was on my way to work and would be late if I stopped.

Really irritating this having to work lark :p
 
I am guessing that my own lack of seeing a photgraph to take, is more abotu me not having developed the "eye" yet, I am starting to see more potential, but it alwasy seems to be when i am with out my camera or cant stop the car etc.

(I do have a camera phone, so the without a camera escuse doesetn really hold water)
