Inspiron 11z

AFAIK the 743 from the basic spec is slightly faster (5-10%) than an n280.

The su4100 should be considerably quicker, one thing to take note of is the £45 extra for a decent battery and the fact the touch pad sucks.

So, the Dell 11z CPU is faster than the Atom?

Edit: Just read a review which said not that much faster and trackpad is the worst ever!

3 cell battery would be more than enough for my use.

Just picked one up today, for the money its brilliant

2gb ram (upgradable to 4gb - single sodimm mind) celeron 1.3ghz, win 7 hp x64 (seems odd with 2gb) and 250gb hdd, ive just swapped the hdd to my 500gb 7200 and its flying also reinstalled win7 to get rid of the bloatware so far so good, only thing is mine didnt come with bluetooth but with the dell 365 modules costing about £10 on fleabay its not the end of the world.

All this including next day del £299, not bad as dell want somewhere around 349 or so for the base model and that comes with vista basic and a 160gb hdd i think

I have the dual core version and it plays youtube hd videos without any problems. After turning most of the trackpad features off, i think it works great.
