haha, it could be better, I post way too much day to day phone snaps as opposed to "proper" photos.

Some, not all. I upload some DSLR stuff from time to time on there.

Just makes me think of teenage self involved girls basing their life on TOWIE uploading duck face selfies 100 times a day, or photos of what everyone is eating.

It's a no from me :p

I post enough **** online without the need of somewhere else to do it :p I have one but I've not posted anything on it for years and years.

For me I have my blog. That does me :)
 
IIRC it is possible to upload photos from your DCIM folder on your phone. But they don't make it easy or intuitive.
 
Use it here, I really like the social side of it and have met some great folks through it. Was down in Dublin a couple of weeks back for the day, with folks I met on it and this weekend I'm heading up to the north coast to stay with a couple of girls I met on it. Get tons of grief from the workmates as they see it a bit strange heading off with folks I just met.

I usually edit pics first, drop them into Google Drive then can put them onto Instagram any time I want.
