Install 12v socket ?

Hi guys

My works van does not have a 12v socket installed, this is a bit of a pain as I can't use my sat nav on long journeys due to having no power source for it.

This picture shows where the socket would have been if one had of been installed, these are the wires that are there.

Is it easy to install one? Any advice would hugely be appreciated.

Is that really all what's to it? I noticed on the halfords web they have one for 8.99, and it has a push in connector but also a black wire that looks like it needs soldering or taping ( no connector on that wire... Bit lost as to what that wore would be for?

Oh I did, but school was a fair few years ago and I tend to not mess with electrics where possible

ps van does belong to me so don't worry about cables etc... Right ill pop to halfords now!

It's an 08 fiat fiorino. No socket what so ever. Ok well I have it hooked up and the light turns on all well. But no power, do I need to hook the 2 prongs on the bottom of the lighter socket up aswell? (as shown in pic) I don't like messing with electrics but this seems relatively simple, I just don't know straight off the bat
