I have a nvidia GTX260 and 8800GT card in both PCI-E slots on my mobo, will windows allow me to install 2 different type of drivers, as i believe 1 driver wont work for both cards will it. How do i go about install the 8 series and 200 series drivers for these cards?

Install Drivers For 2 Different Series Cards?

Why would you need to install different drivers? Anyway, I don't think Windows will allow you to have different versions of the same driver package on a single machine, the fact that the file names are identical (and therefore the installer would overwrite the existing copy) means it would be almost impossible to accomplish.
This is usually the case. When installing, it will detect both cards, and will install the drivers for both of them with no problems.

go and download the drivers for both cards, it shouldnt take long for you to realise the files are identical.........
pretty sure the drivers released with the 480 were only for the 4xx series, but for the case of the OP I reckon your right
The 4** series is included in the new unified 257.15 beta driver, although the latest 197.75 WHQL one is still separate.
