Install games on different HDD than OS

Is this good/bad/indifferent?

Having my games on 1 hard drive and my operating system on another hard drive. Does it effect speed/loadign at all?

I have only 150gb hard drive and a 750gb hard drive.

So I store all my games on 750gb and leave 150gb for OS and just regualr stuff which seems to always be full almost with no games on.

Most people do this I would say.

I have 3. SSD for OS (C), 500gb Seagate for storage (D), and 500g Samsung F3 for games (G).

Depends on the speed of the other hard drive (750gb) if it will affect anything.

If it's a slower drive then yes, it will be slower at loading, by how much depends upon the speed.

If it's a faster drive than the O/S drive then you should really install the O/S on the 750.

i thnk its faster its the new Smasung fast ones.

The other HDD is 2-3 years old.

I will buy a 1tg drive soon anyway so Ill have 1tg + 750gb I reckon.

I've always had OS on C: and Games on D: Music on E: and I have F G H etc..

All standard 7200rpm WD drives and games play fine...
