Install Mac OS X from an External HD

That's an old one - thought everyone knew about that - I've been doing for a good while

Have to say though it is a hell of a lot quicker.
 
To be honest I had seen a method but it involved using Tiger to clone the image, and then restoring it (as per the guide), to a partition.

I think everyone should keep a backup, if not only for convenience.

Very easy to do.
