I went to re-install XP PRO on my laptop using the recovery disks, it turns out they are corrupt and dont work anymore!

So i'm trying to use my XP disk from my desktop which is bootable and i know works as i used it the other day - however the laptop says NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND and refuses to boot from the cd or do anything

Any suggestions?

Go into the BIOS and make the cd 1st in the boot order.

Already is....now its just being silly!

Sometimes itll refuse to boot from CD, and other times itll boot and then hang on the initital XP install screen where it loads drivers
