Install Vista OEM 64 bit with 32 bit key?

A friend of mine bought a PC about 3 years ago with 32 bit Vista pre-installed on it. Naturally, Vista has slowed down to a crawl over time, so he has asked me to re-install it for him.

He doesn't have a Vista installation disc, just his product key. I have a Vista installation disc, but it's the 64 bit disc. Can I install the 64 bit version with the product key he has?

Yes. The key works with both 32 and 64 bit versions.
