Could someone please advise me.

I read somewhere that when doing a clean installing of vista it was recommend to unplug any other hard drives installed in the PC because Vista could leave files on some of these other drives during the install.
I didn't know if this was true or not but unplugged the other drives anyway.

Now, I want to do a clean install of Windows 7.
I would like to know if its advisable to unplug my other HDDs when installing windows 7 or just go ahead and do a clean install with them plugged in.

Thanks in advance.

I tend to unplug all other drives anyway so that accidental format of a storage drive etc doesn't happen.

good idea for those who click without reading, however if you are sure you are competent then leave them. I do.

The install for 7 seems to be far better than that of Vista to be honest IMO.

Install with other Hard Drives plugged in and its seams OK.

It did install very quick, should have timed it but I think it took 15 or 20 mins.
I remember when I install XP the harddrive needed formating and by the time it install it was well over the hour.

Like, it did install OK in that short space of time, didn't it!

Thanks for the help.
