Install windows 8.1 via usb?

I know it's possible but does anyone have a link to an easy to understand guide ideally with a million pictures to baby me through the process

use this.

You just drag or open a Windows ISO, click 'do it' and have a coffee.

use This. Called Rufus, deals with everything for you, just provide it with a usb drive and an image.
Has worked every time for me.

Loads of people will give you loads of different answers.

Really simple version if you like.

Download Win32 Disk Imager

Browse to the .ISO

On device, find the drive letter of the USB

Press write

Remove USB

Go into BIOS

Select removable device as top

Restart

Should prompt you if you want to boot using removable media.

i do like this tool though. it's considerably faster than using the official microsoft thingy.
