I've just bought a new pc with Vista pre-installed on it and I can't get it to install certain drivers, for example, my router, which means that I can't connect to the Internet with my new pc. According to the manufacturer of the router's website, a driver isn't available for Vista yet...

My new pc has two separate hard drives, both 250GB. The primary drive has Vista installed and the secondary drive is completely empty. So I assume that I could use the secondary hard drive to install XP on.

Unfortunately, Vista won't allow me install XP. Is there any way that I can install XP on to my empty drive without having to uninstall Vista first?

Thanks

I think you can install XP as you would by booting off the disk, and then set up a boot manager later on to control the operating systems.

Hopefully someone with experience of doing this can advise you better though.

yeh just whack your xp disk in and install vista to your spare drive ....once it is installed you should get a choice at boot up to load either os if it doesnt you can go into the bios and set the boot order to boot from the 2nd drive
