Install xp without SP2

I want to install XP but not include SP2. Is there an option somewhere in the install process to do this?

Its really an attempt to get my Sony camcorder to connect to my pc via firewire.
It seems that sp2 messed up the connection and so Im trying to see if I can get firewire connectivity using sp1.

Its only a spare lappy Im doing it on, so I'll try a clean install including SP2 and see what happens.
