Hi everyone, I'm currently experiencing a problem installing a program in windows 8.1 and wondered if anyone would be able to offer some assistance?

I'm at Uni studying a Mech Eng degree and part of a coursework this term revolves around using a FEA program called Hyperworks, the Uni have copies that can be installed to personal computers and use the education license through a VPN however I am experiencing a problem installing the software initially, the software is not specifically windows 8 compatible but there are reports of it running fine the biggest problem is my inability to install it.

The installation uses the installanywhere pacakge and when I try to run this it comes up with the following error;
Code:
ZeroGu6: Windows DLL failed to load
	at ZeroGa4.b(DashoA10*..)
	at ZeroGa4.b(DashoA10*..)
	at com.zerog.ia.installer.LifeCycleManager.b(DashoA10*..)

After searching the problem some people have had success running the install in windows 7 compatability mode and when I try this it does indeed complete the extraction however the splash screen installer never loads afterwards, does anyone know of a solution to this or a way to install the software package after extracting all of the data from the installanywhere exes?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
