Hi guys was hoping someone could help.

Have just put my new system together, and after having downloaded Windows XP SP2 and burning the ISO onto a disc i went to install it when i started the new computer up.

All was going well until it came to copying files over, where it then began to say it was unable to copy certain files from the disc. One of which was NLDRS.sys or something similar.

The copying process then froze the screen, and after a restart i am now unable to attempt a reinstall due to it trying to boot into windows with it then displaying the message that is the NLDRS file is missing and that it must be restarted. Of course this doesnt help.

I was hoping someone would be able to help, either in how to clear the hard drive of the currently copied file, or how to find the needed files.

Thanks a lot

Sounds like the ISO may be duff, I had something similar when I slipstreamed Windows Server 2003 with SP2 and I done the slipstreaming correctly.

My only other option is to instal XP 64bit then, but i've been told compatability etc is not very good for this. Only other windows OS on the academic download.
