installation id

My computer just restarted suddenly when it rebooted it says my windows product needs activating but gives no installation id to give, tryed changing product key (to the same one) it just wont give me the id.

Activated to many times? banned the key now?

you can't "activate too many times" by the way

restarting the computer a further time sorted the installation id number all activated again.
