Right then - thanks to the earlier excellent advice from here I've settled on a DS3P which I now have. Sadly having gone through the manuals and the scrap of paper that passes for the case manual I'm having a few concerns about the process.
I've only ever built a SFF machine before where the mboard was prefixed to the case and wired in. While the Gigabyte manual is good at explaining the connection of the CPU / cards etc it says very little about physically attaching it to the case. I've established that there appear to be 9 seperate mounting places which I have matched up with the motherboard tray holes where I have installed the brass spacers.
My question (which seems slightly absurb after this much explanation) is that the screws that fit the brass spacer have a single metal washer and in the packet there are 9 cardboard washers as well. When screwing the Mboard onto the spacers should I have a metal washer above the board and the cardboard washer below, does the placements above or below not matter or do I not need either washer and should simply us the screw into the spacer?
Just that having got all my new kit and frankly feeling a little worried about the installation I want to make absolutely sure I don't do anything stupid...
