I hope this is the right forum to post in, I am new to such forums and tech boards and quite rubbish with hardware so apologise if my questions sound stupid, though my tech savvy friends have no idea either.

I recently bought a new computer with an ASRock G31M-GS R2.0 motherboard. The computer works fine, the vga output works fine.

I next tried to install a Gigabyte 8400 GS 512mb card into a PCIE socket. I when i boot the computer up I get no VGA output at all, even on the motherboards socket. I have tried disabling the integrated graphics components, I have checked the bios automatically looks to boot from the PCIE but to no avail.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Rhandi
