When installing a motherboard do you need those red coloured paper type washers. Every time I've installed one I've used them however the case I got didn't come with any and just double checking whether its fine not to use them. If its any use I'm using black nickel screw

Going to be honest, ive never seen them but from some googling they seem as useful as wet lettuce..

Aslong as you don't drag the screws across the motherboard (damage it) you'll be fine..

You mean fibre washers, and no you don't need them.

Same here, never used them. Most motherboards I have used have a bead of metal around the screw holes.

Yeah every board I've had has the round trim of metal round the screwhole as well but always used the washers as they were there and seen no reason not to use them
