Vista on this PC,XP Pro on the other 2 PC'S and they cant see the shared folders.

Are they on the same subnet, workgroup and passwords set for each machine?
file and printer sharing enabled ok?

i'm linking between vista ultimate x64 and xp pro, i found it refused to set uo untill i set a logon password on both then voila, they saw each other and connected.... once i put in the relevent passwords that is

For some reason Norton although not showing as running was blocking the external ports.

had you installed LLTD on you win xp box ? you will need this for vista to see your pc ?
