Hi, when i built pc i installed 2GB of OCZ platium 1333 ddr3 and bought some more a little while ago on special offer.

System spec

X38 maximus extreme
q6600 @3.2 400x8 1.375v
4gb ocz ddr3 plat now at 1600mhz
4870 1gb
750w coolmaster mod psu
north bridge an cpu are on water dont no if thats relivent

before i installed new dimms i had the ram at 1.9volts and system was rock solid @ 1600mhz. problem sill happens if i run at 1333mhz now
Do the extra ram modules mean that i have to up voltage?
Is it normal for North bridge to now run hotter with 4 dimms?

Probably a stupid question

Thanks

try each stick individually mate and est them, if they seem to work fin, try a cmos clear, and upp the northbridge voltage by a small incrament, sometimes this is needed with 4 or more sticks or ram. :)

OK ive tested and all seem to be ok. im running them at 1333mhz now with 1.9 volts
1.45v to nb have to run some games see how it goes. they were stable before in 3dmark and intel burn test etc. but still caused crashes.
