installed driver or not?

hi,

I have another pci-e slot on my mobo and i need to drop my 5850 into it, the reason i need
to do this, i need to fit in my reservoirs in my drive bay but the end of my 5850 are sitting next
to each other and i wont be able to get the tubing in. So can i just put graphics card into the other
slot with out installing the driver again? and will it be running fine?

You hopefully won't but the slot speed will be 8x rather than 16x.

No need for a new driver, but check that the slot you are using is a full x16 version. Also, some bioses need to be told to look for a gpu in the non primary slot

On my mobo it has 2 16x slots but they both go 8x when in Xfire. I will have to check the bios when I do it.
