Installed my new headunit but now my key fob wont work?!?!

Title says it all really...

On saturday I took out my old headunit and hooked up my new one.

All was successful but now when I go to use the key fob to lock / alarm the car the little LED lights up but nothing happens.

Ive tried the re-syncing technique of putting it in the ignition, turn it and holding the lock button but to no avail.

Anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it?

Car is a 2000 mk4 Astra

Did you cut any wires installing the head unit? Or did you use a iso adaptor?

try disconnecting the battery for 10mins it might reboot the system

I used my old ISO adapter and re-wired them to match the new headunits

Well with the abundance of information you have provided this should be an easy one to solve.

Anyway I'd guess a fuse has gone during installation.

Id check fuses as Robbie says, I'd pull out the head unit to look for any trapped and damaged wires.

Not a lot else we can advise on without being there.

If you take it all out, does the locking work again?
