I've been building up my system for a couple of weeks now (spec in sig) and it's all been going well until I fitted in 4 new Noctua NF-S12's and a Zalman MFC1 controller this weekend. I put them into my P182, replacing the 2 rear exhaust fans, the front middle and the one in the middle of the Tuniq 120. They all spin up fine, and on power on they go full blast. After that though, the CPU one won't go above 800RPM, and the system one (rear exhaust) won't go above 300PM according to the BIOS.

System idle's at around 40 degrees now instead of 30 according to coretemp, I've not put load on as I presume it'll max out as not enough hot air is being pulled out of the system at present.

I've played around with %'s and settings all to no avail. The fan controller works fine, but the settings above are when they are turned up to max, when I turn them down, they do go slower.

I'm sure it's something simple I'm totally missing, any pointers/ideas?

Cheers

You know those moments when realisation kicks in and you feel something that rates on the higher end of the 'dumb' scale?
