I popped 2 shiny new Gigabytes of memory into my PC this morning. The same kind of memory as the existing two gigabytes. Now it won't POST, just tries starting up a couple of times and then sits there fans whirring with nothing appearing on screen.
Unfortunately I only had about ten minutes to do this before work so I've not had a chance to check I've not done anything stupid like knocking a cable or something. When I get a chance I'll obviously check for that, and then try with just the old or new memory to see whether it's faulty.
Assuming the memory is fine, and I've not just knocked something out, what else should I try to get her up and running again?
