Hey guys,
Well this is very frustrating, i just bought the FSP sparkle bluestorm 2 500 watt supply off overclockers to replace my antec 450watt supply which was makin a high pitched noise to signal it was on its last legs. I changed the psu over this evening and booted up, all looked fine at first with my raid 0 setup (2x 200gb samsung spinpoint drives) being detected as well as my ibm secondary drive. However, after detecting the raid setup, it would fail to boot asking to insert system disk... So i rebooted to try again and now it is saying that the raid setup is failing with only 1 of the spinpoint drives being detected.
Does it look like this new psu has somehow managed to kill one of my hdds or is there another way of rectifying the problem :/
I have tried connecting the hdds up to different sata power connections on the psu, I have also held the hdds and can feel them both spinning up, so they must be getting power..
I really hope that trying to fix my original psu problems hasn't casued an even bigger one!
Cheers for the help..
