Installed RAM

Hi guys just a quickie...

I bought new ram for my laptop and installed it this morning. Windows or a RAM scanner software is not picking this up...

Any ideas if there is a "virtual switch" i need to set up to run on two slots?

Laptop is ASUS N53SV-606V, I am positive i bought the correct ram.

Is it definitely pushed into the slot firmly? Have you tried one stick at a time to check both work?
