Installer not recognising IE version correctly

Hi All

I'm trying to some software from a CD but annoyingly everytime I try to install, it keeps telling me that the version of IE I have is older than the required version 5.5. I have version 8 installled...

Any heard of anything like this before and anyone got any ideas how to get round this problem?

It's some rover/MG EPC software.

With a lot of googling I think I've found the answer elsewhere, I need to change a registry key to fool it into think I have IE 6 then I can change it back to IE 8

Will give it a whirl later and see if it works
