Hello guys

I am building my first rig in long time and need some advice on fans.
My case, Corsair 200R Compact can accomodate up to 8 fans of which 5 can be 140mm. I decided to go with 5 140mm fans and 1 120mm, with blue leds - it fits my systems colour theme (Black / Blue).
Its not very powerful system and no overclocking done yet, so I am looking at low rpm and quiet fans.
This is what I would like to instal:

5x140mm Blue LED fans:

They would go 2 on top, 2 on the side panel and 1 at the bottom near PSU.

1x120mm Blue LED fan:

It would go at the back of the case, replacing the Corsair stock fan supplied with the case (which is plain black).

I will be also adding a controller:

Now, I didnt instal fans before, ever, and I have seen many comments on intake and exhaust and good airflow. I am a bit confused with all that information and need some help with installing those fans into my case:

Hope to hear from you soon :)

Thanks for advice.
The 140mm are out of stock at the moment tho, will have to wait for them :)
As for 120mm ones, I was looking at them but didnt like this blue colour (the one I found is more ambient) - unless its just a photo and thwey look different in the case.
Also I was looking for quieter fans as my system doesnt have a high end GPU right now (tho I am planing a single Radeon 7950/70 soon).
By the way, which fans do you have as intake and which as exhaust?
And where would you locate those intake/exhaust fans in Corsair 200R?

Sorry, I am asking to many questions :)
But I really would like to do it correct.

Cheers

hi the fans i listed 120 are dark blue not bad colour yes i noticed the 140 wasnt in stock but it will be the exhaust fan ie blowing out of case is rear and top of case intake would be front and side mate you said your buying a fan controller so noise shouldnt be an issue the 123 fans i suggested are quiet any way hope this helps you

Maybe keep in mind that some of the images of fans can be a little deceiving in respect of the amount of "Glow" they put out if thats what your looking for ?...i have a set of Bitfenix pro Red LED and they put out hardly any " Glow " at all . Although they do look ok once installed , I also have a pair of Xigmatek Crystal purple LED Fans and they give off more glow then the Bitfenix I have , But it's a personal thing I guess :)

Funny enough though the fans that came with my case ( K-62) give off more glow than any other fans I've used :)

Well, my PSU - Corsair 600GS (2013 Gamers Edition) gives quite a lot of glow, nice ambient light, however I would probably have to cut the window in my side pannel to make it visible - so I am trying to find all options I have.
To be honest I wont decide what fans I will be putting in until I get GPU's installed and test temps (I have Xfire in plans).

Thanks for all the advice guys.
It will take me some time, but I will get what I want (quiet black case with blue LEDs :P ).

Its great.
Very tidy, plenty of space for cables management, even with non-modular PSU (I put my unused cables into 3.5" HDD tray on the bottom, so they don't block airflow).
Plenty of ventilation options and if you like modding, there is enough place for that. I looked very long at different cases and this one was number one all along. One thing, it would be great to have a transparent window on the left side but you cant have everything :)
If you decide to go for it, get some short SATA cables (15 cm ones) for SDDs/HDDs + one 30cm for optical drive - there is n need for longer ones in this case.
I have to say, for 50£ I am fully satisfied.

My Lian-Li K-62 Case is silent with stock fans connected via molex :)
