Installing a app. in a sandbox?

I have avast, but the sb costs $$, I scaned the file with AV (the installer) it said no threats, just want to be sure.

I use Sandboxie myself, not for anything too in depth, and not sure the free version has any limits, but may be worth looking at?

Use a virtual machine.

If you have a file you think may be suspect.

Upload it to https://www.virustotal.com/

They'll scan it with 25+ virus scanners for you for free.
