Installing a CPU

i am pretty sure that it is impossible to fit the CPU in the wrong way, as it will not fit in the socket.

if you got the retail version there should be a manual showing a complete installation guide (including orientation of the chip). if you got the OEM version have a look for the online manual on intels website. i'd be very surprised if they didnt have one
 
yeah as long as you have the metal face with the writing on facing up and the insets matched up to that on the mobo its the right way in, but check the manual if your not sure. check your motherboard manual too, as it says how to install the CPU in my motherboard manual and CPU manual.
