Hi all,

This might be a bit of a stupid question but:

I'm getting a new Radeon 5770 (ASUS) next week. I currently have an integrated HD 3200 (the one that comes with the 780G chipset). Since I already have Catalyst 9.10, would I just simply drop in the graphics card and not have to update the drivers ?

The release notes for Catalyst 9.10 don't seem to mention the 5770 though. So do I have to uninstall 9.10 before installing the graphics card ?

Thanks

Disable your integrated gpu in the bios as it may cause driver issues. And yes download the newest drivers from the website for the specific card

EDIT - Slow

Turn your machine off
Install said graphics card
boot into bios
Disable onboard graphics
reboot into windows
good to go

:D

The 9.10's don't support the 5770's, so you'll have to use the 9.11 beta's.

Just remove the 9.10's, then switch off and install the 5770, on boot go straight to BIOS and disable the on-board gfx, then boot and install 9.11 beta.

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll install, disable on-board graphics and then update to the latest drivers.

EDIT: This is the correct one, right
