Could someone please tell me what order to install my parts, I have built a few pc's before but this will be my first time installing with a giant phanteks cooler.

I had read somewhere that I should install the cooler before I put the motherboard in the case

So do I put the motherboard in at the start like I normally do?
Or do I install ram/cpu/cooler in to motherboard before I put it in the case?

Thanks :)

my parts:
3570k
samsung green ram 8gb
phanteks red cooler
CM storm case
msi gd65 z77
msi 660ti

Installing ram/cpu/cooler before you put in the case will be easier.

That pretty much the only reason for doing it, and a good reason.

The CM storm case is big, so it might not be a major problem installing the mobo first, but it will be a bit more ackward.

plug your memory in first, makesure you pick the correct slots, first slot from cpu socket to the front of case leave blank, install a stick, blank, install a stick

usually you can stick the backplate to the back of the mb,then install the mb and mount the heatsink and fans once the board is screwed into place, you can mount it all outside the case but i find it harder to screw the mb down with the huge heatsink in the way

Got it all together thanks :)

Took me forever :)

Cooler was bit harder to do than I thought and glad I done it out the pc :)

instructions on phanteks were a bit all over the place.

Also why is msi super glueing stickers to the board
