Installing another cigarette lighter socket

Re. dash cams - I don't really want it plugged in to the cigarette lighter all the time - is it easy enough to install another, 2nd socket? In parallel to the existing, and keep it all behind the dash?

Surely it'd be easier to just wire the dashcam into an existing cable?

I don't want untidy wires running in front of the radio, console etc to go into the cigarette socket - I'd rather run it nicely behind somewhere out of sight

Excuse my derpiness. Zero experience in this stuff.

Direct wiring sounds even better. Where would I wire it in to?
Perhaps I should just take the car somewhere to get it done. I'll end up electrifying the gearstick or something equally as derpy.
