Installing Antec 920, a question

Do I need to install any software that comes with the cooler before I install and use it?

I have all my hardware but Win7 doesn't arrive til Friday, I wanted to hook everything up and make sure it's all working in the BIOS today but the installation guide says to install the software as step 1.

Does the cooler require the software to be installed first, or am I OK to install the cooler and run it no further than the BIOS?

Yeah you can install it. You don't need the software installed, it's probably just temp monitoring software anyway.
