I appreciate that this is a basic question, but want to make sure I get it right after spending a bit of cash (and particularly see the final bullet points).

I'm moving from an AMD 290 to a (Nvidia) Gigabyte Aorus 1080TI Xtreme, i.e. this one:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...dr5x-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-001-au.html

I assume that the steps to install will be:
  1. Run 'Display Driver Uninstall' (where can I get the best version of this? Apart from googling it...)
  2. Swap cards
  3. Boot up
  4. Install drivers
    • I've heard that there's a few problems with Gigabyte drivers and software. I'm not bothered about tweaking etc. Do I need to install company specific software if I'm happy to run factory settings?
    • If factory settings are OK, what do I need to do re. drivers etc?
Cheers

Standard driver uninstall is pretty fine these days, but if you really want to just get the latest version of Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).

With Gigabyte, if you want the set the OC mode setting and setup lighting effects or turn the LED off, use their program, once set you can turn it off and even uninstall.

Afterburner is better for setting clock speeds/fan curve etc. The extremes factory setting are decent enough in OC mode.
