Installing BF2 after a format

Bf2 --> SF --> latest patch.

Simple

If you do Bf2 --> patch --> SF then you need to resintall patch.

1.21 is the most recent patch, 267mb iirc for the full one.

Says it above my terribly slow EF download

just done reinstalled my copy and had to patch it in that order.

Although the actual patching itself took such a long time.

Don't rememeber it being that slow last time. Or is it because I was doing the full patch.

Full patch takes a fair while, seems to update almost all the map files

Took about 4/5 minutes for me, that is really excessive for a hour :eek:

Thought you meant just the install the latest patch then!

Downloading EF for me last night took 2 hours

If you have any anti-virus software. Disable it before you patch, i think the anti-virus checks every file while it extracts it and it just makes the process longer.
