Installing componants question

My friend and I are building his new system but we are quite new to this. We have an MSI K9A2CE motherboard but it did not come with the screws to screw it into place into the case. The screws in his old PC don't fit because there is a plastic bit on the new motherboard to hold the CPU bit in place. Is there anyway to find out what screws we need to buy or do we just need to push harder, bending the motherboard and getting the screws in?

Also will any thermal paste do for the AMD Athlon X2 processor?

EDIT: Just found the screws bundled up in the case wires

If you got a retail CPU then the paste will be pre-applied to the HSF, if not then get something like AS5 or MX-1

Thanks, the paste was already applied and the CPU is now installed! Everything should go a breeze now
