anyone tried this? i'm assuming this is at the top end of DIY skills? i'm thinking of having a bash but is it as difficult as i'm thinking it could be...

It's fixed up with muck that you either mix yourself, or buy ready made. Like a big stodgy glue.

TOP TIP: Do not get a plastic measuring angle thing, they bend and make life hard. Get a metal one and your angles will be straight(er)!

i've heard enough. i'm handing it to a pro

One thing i have learnt from doing up three houses now, all of which were TOTAL wrecks, is that its not worth the time doing things like this (or much else for that matter).

A general decorator will work twice as fast as you, will do a job ten times as good in that time, and you have someone to complain to if it isnt 100% perfect. If you factor in the saved time and the miles better finish, not to mention the removed ballache, they are also really cheap £80-100/day around here.

.

i agree with this and am copping out
