Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Installing driver question

It may. Driver changes can increase heat sometimes so other factors might be in play here also. I've personally never had a problem but I have had temperature changes with different drivers. Simple, go to stock and if the problem remains then you can rule out the overclock.
