I've done this before, but for some reason I'm having no luck at doing it now. I've got 3 HDs (2 in RAID 0 and one by itself).

I'm trying to install Vista to the RAID and XP to the single disk. All three disks are on the RAID controller on a P5K. I can install Vista fine, then XP fine then it only seems to boot into XP.

How do I install it so that I get the XP/Vista selection screen on booting?

You can't use the XP bootloader to boot Vista, so your going to have to go into Vista and tell it that XP is there.

One way to do this is stick the Vista install DVD back in and select "Repair your computer" then select "Startup repair" when asked. This will fix the Vista bootloader that installing XP would probably have broken. Your PC should now boot into Vista with no options.

Then you have to tell Vista where your XP install is. Do this in the same way you would back with XP, or get EasyBCD and add an entry under Windows tab and select in the version list "Windows NT/2k/XP/2k3". Change the drive to the drive XP is installed too, name it Windows XP or whatever and save it.
