I'm trying to install Firefox 3 on Centos at work, but I can't figure it out. I had a lot of trouble with Firefox 2, which is installed in /home/username/ directory.

I've tried searching on the net for some help, but the solutions don't seem to work!

Anyone have a simple way of doing this?

Does Cent OS use yum like Fedora does? if so what version of FF is in the yum repos?

Or RPM... pretty simple - <rpm -ivh foo.rpm> (as root)

or is it a gunzipped tar? (.tar.gz)

CentOS 5.2 (out yesterday) includes Firefox 3 beta 5, so a yum upgrade should give you that version if you're already on CentOS 5.

CentOS 4 is getting on a bit now and has some dependencies you'd need to resolve manually, I think.
