Installing GPU for the first time - PCI Express connector question

Hi

Card - R9 285 mini. It came with very short connector so I need to use something longer.

Here are the options:

the only cable which fits is 8 pins (6+2) PCI express connector which came with my Superflower. Can someone kindly confirm that I can use it? the original cable which came with a card ends with two six pin plugs while superflower one with 9 pin plug (two are "blank")

Yes if your card has a 8pin slot just use the 8pin or 6+2pin pcie power cables that came with your PSU.

that short cable is just an adapter to change 2x 6pin cables to an 8pin.
