You cand install it but before install on your Win7 VMware Workstation which is a Operating system platform and support to install any operating system inside in any operating system

yes it can be done. I base this on the logic that you can write the MBR for windows from inside windows. Based on this it should be possible.
I've used this to overwrite the mbr (which was grub) to windows from inside windows

However for your particular requirement, what gives? just pop in a livecd and install grub? or do you want to do something else...
